Song Zhiping meets with RHI delegation

On November 17, Song Zhiping, chairman of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM), met with a delegation led by Herbert Cordt, chairman of the Supervisory Board of RHI AG, Austria at CNBM's headquarters.

Song welcomed the delegation and acclaimed the longstanding partnership between the two sides. He introduced CNBM's development situation, with focus on the development of building materials engineering businesses such as cement and glass as well as the development of the refractory sector. CNBM has actively implemented the strategy of green, intelligent, high-end and international development, and attached great importance to the concept of low carbon, environmental protection and sustainable development, said him, expecting the two sides to further expand the range of cooperation, and jointly advance the healthy development of the global building materials industry through advantage complementation and mutually-beneficial cooperation.

 In recent years, CNBM has made great efforts and outstanding achievements in fields such as industrial optimization, technical innovation, energy conservation and emission reduction, thus rapidly developing into the world's second-largest building materials manufacturer with international influence, Cordt noted. He also introduced RHI's global operations, with emphasis on the situation and R & D achievements of the refractory business of RHI China's building materials sector. RHI attaches great importance to the cooperation with CNBM, said him, pledging that RHI will strongly support CNBM in developing domestic and overseas building materials engineering markets by supplying materials with superior performance and reliable quality.

As the world's largest refractory supplier for industries such as cement, glass and iron & steel, RHI has over 30 plants worldwide, including four plants and a trade company in China.
