CTIEC Invited to Attend China-India Economic and Trade Forum

On May 16, China-India Economic and Trade Forum with a theme of “to construct a closer development partnership” was successfully held in Shanghai. Prime Minister of India Modi attended the forum and delivered a keynote speech. Minister of the Ministry of Commerce of PRC Gao Hucheng, Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of PRC Yin Weimin and other leaders attended the forum. More than 350 representatives from both governments and business circles presented. President and CEO of China Triumph International Engineering Co., Ltd.(CTIEC) Peng Shou was invited to attend the forum as a representative of building materials entrepreneurs and made deep communication about cooperation with relevant Indian enterprises.

CTIEC has always actively expanded Southeast Asia market, including India market, and has undertaken many building materials and new energy projects, especially India HNG600t float glass production line contracted and constructed by it had been successfully put into operation by the end of 2009 and the glass products produced with the line are better than that produced by the float process lines constructed by Euramerican enterprises in India, turning the Indians bias of products made in China, getting a good start of “China’s Building Materials” brand in Indian market and wining wide recognition from all works of life in India.

Shanghai is the last stop of Modi’s visit to China and also an important stop in economic, trade and investment cooperation. Before the visit to China, Modi said he was looking forward to meeting with China’s entrepreneur representatives and “sharing Indian opportunities with them.” In his speech, Modi said, China and India, as two important economies in Asia, might create resplendence together and achieve mutual development. In next five years, India will further improve its foreign investment policy and encourage more Chinese enterprises to make investment and development in India.

Gao Hucheng stated, Sino-India communication and cooperation had undergone profound development in breadth and depth, especially the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries had entered the speedway and bilateral materials trading volume had topped USD 70 billion and contractual amount for construction projects had been more than USD 64 billion accumulatively. China and India have maintained good momentum of cooperative development.

This forum was co-hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Embassy of India in Beijing, China. At the forum, Sino-India enterprises signed more than 20 joint project cooperation agreements. And Sino-India entrepreneurs also made business docking and project discussion about iron and steel, electric power, information technology, building materials, culture and other fields.
